就算少了「愛神」洛夫（膝傷）、J.R.史密斯（指傷），騎士想要連兩天宰掉公鹿仍沒問題！厄文22日攻下全場最高31分，更傳出生涯新高13助攻，「小皇帝」詹姆斯29分、9籃板與6助攻，騎士113比102轟垮公鹿。
尚波特、佛萊與理查傑佛生各10分，其中傑佛生因2次技術犯規提前被驅逐出場；崔斯坦湯普生雖僅得5分，卻有15籃板、4火鍋，目前史密斯至少缺席4到6周時間，洛夫可望於24日出戰林書豪領軍的籃網時宣告復出。
由於公鹿可能成為穩居東區頭號種子的季後賽首輪對手，儘管最近兩戰騎士皆勝，兩隊本季首次交手卻由公鹿贏球，所以厄文對上公鹿特別來勁，「我當然希望在首輪碰上公鹿，只要碰上他們，我必定火力全開，等著瞧吧。」
其實騎士總教練泰隆盧原本考慮要讓厄文、詹姆斯兩人輪休，畢竟兩人前役分別打了47、45分鐘，不過詹姆斯堅決要打的態度，讓泰隆盧只好認了，詹皇說：「泰隆盧賽前走過來問我感覺如何，我回他很棒，他就走開了。」
公鹿仍看球隊一哥阿提托康波表演，他拿28分、5助攻與5籃板，賈巴利帕克27分。惟主力控衛戴拉維托瓦失常，只拿2分、3助攻與2籃板；或許因賽前他接受騎士頒發上季總冠軍戒，心情難免受到影響所致。
「騎士是上季奪冠隊伍，」公鹿總教練奇德表示，「他們今晚再次證明了這點，他們從不驚慌，因為他們見過所有狀況。」
包含詹姆斯、厄文等騎士球員都很看好公鹿的未來，更相信公鹿以後將成為騎士在東區的勁敵。詹姆斯說：「公鹿未來幾年絕對會越來越好，對我而言，我會隨時接受他們的挑戰，不管是現在或未來。」
